Ellen Versteegen joined the Rivalea Feedmill team in February this year and has already set about making her mark within her territory and the Rivalea business.  Ellen graduated from La Trobe University with a double degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience with an Agricultural Science Major in May 2015.

Her honours project, 'Markers of fertility and milk yield in the colostrum of the dairy cow' led her to being nominated as the Victorian winner of the Ag Institute State Best Honours project.

Her success continued upwards and onwards to winning the prestigious AEV Richardson Memorial National Student Award.  This award is issued by the AG Institute (Australian Institute of Ag Science and Technology) which promotes advancement in Australian agriculture in accordance with sound scientific developments.

Ellen said "I'm absolutely honoured to be named as both the state and national winner of such a prestigious award. To receive this kind of recognition is incredibly overwhelming to say the least."
